Program

Day 1. Pick-up at Turin airport and transfer to your preferred hotel located in the Province of Asti (Monferrato Valley). Overnight at agriturismo/4* hotel in the Province of Asti.

Day 2. Breakfast. After breakfast you will be transferred to the magnificent location (cooking school) where your first hands-on cooking class will take place. Lunch based on your preparations. In the afternoon we will take you in the heart of Monferrato Valley, where you will have a tour of a winery nestled in the middle of Monferrato hills and specialized in producing Barbera wine. Tasting of 4-5 types of wine. In late afternoon transfer back to the hotel. Overnight at agriturismo/4* hotel in the Province of Asti.

Day 3. Breakfast. Pick-up and transfer to the cooking school for your second exciting cooking experience. Are you ready to discover new secrets about Piedmont’s cuisine ? Lunch based on your preparations. After lunch you will be transferred to Langhe, one of the most enchanting wine areas in Italy ! After a brief stop in La Morra for pictures, you will be transferred to a stunning winery located in the heart of Langhe hills. What’s the main wine of this area ? Barolo wine, of course ! Tour of the winery and tasting of Barolo wine. Overnight at agriturismo/4* hotel in the Province of Asti.

Day 4. Breakfast. Check out from the hotel. On the way to Viverone Lake we will stop to Vercellese plain, a land nearly entire cultivated with rice and is famous for the extraordinary spring display of the submerged rice fields: during the period April-June the plain is transformed into an immense chessboard of water mirrors, punctuated by farmsteads and poplar trees here and here; this is the "sea to small squares”. At first we will visit a farm specialized in rice cultivation and before going to Vercelli we will have lunch to at a traditional restaurant. What’s the main dish of the area ? Risotto, of course ! In the afternoon you will be transferred to Vercelli, city of art that stands in a strategic position which rendered it an obligatory point of passage, in as much that it crossed a part of the Via Francigena. Here you will be met by our expert guide (2.5 h) who will lead you through the beauties of the city: the Abbey of S.Andrew, the Cathedral of St. Eusebius, Piazza Cavour, the Tower of the Angel. Before the end of the tour we strongly recommend to taste the bicciolani (biscuits) with a good cup of coffee. In the evening you will be transferred back to your hotel located in Viverone lake area. Dinner at the restaurant of the agriturismo/4* hotel. Overnight at agriturismo/4* hotel in Viverone lake area.

Day 5. Breakfast. Pick-up at your accommodation and transfer to Turin, the first capital of Italy ! Here you will be met by our guide (3h) and together you will have an exciting walking tour through the enchanting city center: we start from Piazza Vittorio, one both the largest Baroque squares in Europe, and proceed to Via Po, Piazza Castello and Piazza San Carlo. Lunch on your own. Afternoon at leisure. We recommend to visit the Egyptian Museum. In the evening you will be transferred back to the hotel. Dinner at a local restaurant near the hotel. Overnight at agriturismo/4* hotel in Viverone lake area.

Day 6. Breakfast. Today is time of your third hands-on cooking class ! The location chosen is a very special agriturismo specialized in cultivation of aromatic herbsAs soon as arrived you will receive a warm welcome from the chef, and together you will visit the cultivation of herbs and the vegetable garden. Under the supervision of the chef you will collect herbs and local products you need for your cooking class, and then you will be taught how to make good dishes by using natural products. Lunch based on your preparations. In the afternoon you will be transferred to a winery nestled in the middle of Erbaluce hills, a very small wine district that starts from Viverone and gets to Canavese area. Here you will taste the Erbaluce white wine, also called “the Gold of Canavese”. After the wine tour you will be transferred back to the hotel. Dinner at a local restaurant near the hotel. Overnight at agriturismo/4* hotel in Viverone lake area.

Day 7. Breakfast. Have you ever heard that Aosta Valley is not only famous for mountains but also for ham ? After the pick-up you will be transferred to Aosta Valley, a region famous for mountains (Mont Blanc), skiing, nice villages and good gastronomic tradition. We will stop not far from Aosta city to visit a distillery and ham production laboratory. During the visit, will be offered a tasting plate with ham and breadsticks with a glass of red or white wine, or water. After the tasting you will be transferred to Aosta, where you will have a 2.5 hours walking tour accompanied by our expert guide (2.5 h). After the tour you will be transferred back to the hotel. Dinner at the restaurant of the agriturismo/4* hotel. Overnight at agriturismo/4* hotel in Viverone lake area.

Day 8. Breakfast. Pick-up at the hotel and drop off to Turin airport. End of the services. “Arrivederci”.
